As 2010 draws to a close, it’s a time to reflect on the year that has passed, and on the year that is to come.

2010 has been filled with laughter, joy, learnings, opportunities – missed or achieved, experiences – good and bad, new friends, old friends, re-acquaintances, family, travel, pain, sickness, death, sadness, grief, and so much more. 2011 will no doubt bring more of the same, and much, much more.
It’s important to realise that this is what makes us who we are, and forms the basis of who we will become. The ups, the downs, the highs, the lows. We need to experience all of these. This is the only way that we can truly experience all that life has to give.

  1. Hey,
The optimism in the post is surely commendable. Personally though, 2010 hasn’t been such a great year but the best part is that I have learned new lessons, gained new perspectives and my all ready for the new year.

Hope that the new year is bright and beautiful!

  2. Nicely said. You hear so much about making New Year’s resolutions but no one ever talks about reflecting back on the year itself. Just reading your post makes me take a deep breath . . . and reflect! Thanks. 🙂
